I'm bringing home this beautiful cremello AQHA gelding right now (we drove four hours one way to get him [IMG]) and I'm trying to think of a name for him! I like Sundance and Denver, but I'm not sure because I like giving my animals people names! So I'm needing some suggestions! His name right now is "Mr. Cream" (they didn't put much thought into it)
Here are some pictures but they don't do him justice, I'll get some better ones tomorrow if it's not still raining!

I would call him Larry, or Mr. Fancy Pants.

Here's a few more pictures of him, still not very good! And he's a bit skinny for my taste too. Anyways, I'm not so sure those names fit him, he needs something more serious. I was think maybe a Native American name, but I want to be able to pronounce it! Lol

He's beautiful! From those pictures, it looks like he is put together quite nice! I'm excited to see more pictures.

Names are always the hardest part, but here are a few native names i found that you might like:

    Chayton: Lakota for "falcon"
    Dakotah: Lakota for "friend"
    Kohana: Lakota for "swift"
    Tashunka: Lakota for "horse"
    Akecheta: Lakota for "warrior"
    Keme: Blackfoot for "Thunder"
    Kitchi: Blackfoot for "Brave"

There are a bunch though that you can look up online. These ones seemed most fitting for a horse and were easy to pronounce (from the list I found anyway!)

What a gorgeous animal! I could see him as a "Denver" (name you suggested). But if you're looking for some other options, here's a few. I just picked a few off the top of my head that matched the "look" of your horse.
    Ike
    Gale
    Phantom
    Specter
Apollo (Greek/Roman god of the sun)
    Magnus ("great" in Latin)
    Vernon

Vernon is kind of cute, but weird too! And I do think Gale sort of fits him, but my names Abigale and I don't want to feel like I'm naming my horse after myself! Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone! And that is a good website. Lots of thinking to do [IMG]
