I need a new camera - any recomendations?

I bought a new Kodak easyshare ZD710 in the beginning of Dec at WalMart for 149 dollars. it has a great Zoom easy to operate which for me is important.

I bought my son the Nikkon Cool pix L10 for christmas, $95 at walmart and I think its better than my more expensive one. it has the face recognition that it focus's on and takes video. Very nice pictures too.

I bought a Samsung. It was good. I bought a Canon . Took good pics, probably better if I could have figured out tweak what I was taking. Then I bought a Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS. Love it! The auto mode takes near perfect pics every time. Of the three, it has the widest range of zoom without graininess. It practically holds my hand on how to operate it. The others were just too complicated for me. It takes video that is crystal clear.
Enough said. I would like to suggest that you don't need to go over 7 megapixels, I had one that was 10, and I sent it back. Put your money into more zoom (optical) My Kodak is 12x zoom, and well worth the money.

I'm going to vote for the Kodak easyshare as well. I got mine at costco, and it was a steal!! Works well for ppl like me who know NOTHING about taking a half decent picture!! HaHa!

I use a Kodak easyshare Z760 6.1 mega pixel, got it a Wal mart a couple of yrs ago for 200.00. Very easy for me to operate & has a movie mode.
Kodak sells refurbished cameras on their web site, here's the link http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=4177&pq-locale=en_US
They warranty them like new ones, with a 30 money back guarantee.
Good luck

I have a Kodak Easy Share that my DD broke so I went and bought a Pentax Optio E10 and I like my Kodak much better. It's easier to use and IMHO takes better pictures.
