I have a small coop now, about 4x4. I started out with 3 hens. I now have 6 standards and 1 bantam. . . and will probably be getting another bantam or 2. I will never have more than 8 chickens at my current house. I don't have time to build a new coop so I am shopping around.

I'm interested in the colonial gable style from the following link. How many chickens do you think it can really hold? Any other recommendations?

Thanks!!!

Wow, your chicken pictures are the best I've seen, beautiful. I think you could easily house a dozen chickens in that house with the run you have. I built mine but that one is pretty enough to buy. Good luck and thank you for a look at your gorgeous chickens.

I have one that the bottom fit in a large size pick up truck. Not sure of the dimensions, so I didn't want to say for sure. But, it looks bigger than the one you pictured. I have 8 chickens and feel that it has hit its limit with those. I would definitely go with something bigger so you have plenty of room in case you decide to add a few more. After only a year, I'm thinking bigger for sure.

Here's a backside view of mine:

Thanks for the insight. I don't have room for a bigger coop. So I'll have to control myself and not get any more chickens!
