I need a photo of the pliers that are used in applying pinless peepers

Quote:
for how long did you leave them on?

It is suggested that you leave them on for at least one month to change the behavior. For things like plucking feathers, I think it would change the bad behavior. Some folks leave them on all the time. My cranky girls wear them for a spell, I take them off to give them a break and when the bad behavior begins again, then back on they go.

Edit to add: I just love your little avitar of the chicken riding in the car! How darling.

I know this is a 2 yr. old thread, but, is that pic a rooster with pinless peepers on? Can you put them on roosters with large single combs? I have an excited rooster that I want to put them on but he has a large single comb and I'm afraid that his comb is too large and goes forward on his head too far.

I use the pliers - snap ring - and I swear by the pinless peepers now (we call the PP's here -terrible, I know. Use it in a sentence. If you don't giggle, then seek help)
I have a flock of about 30, half of which are roosters. All free range. I was considering euthanasia after a few bloodbaths. Since I have a weak stomach for that sort of thing,, I bought some PP's (hehehe) on eBay and there was happiness all around. I only put them on for about a week on the offending roosters and after some rather amusing fight attempts (they look like two drunk guys trying to karate kick a moving target), they get exhausted and give up...then they agree fighting is stupid and they should all just get along. Probably plotting against me. Oh well
