I need a quick reminder, first chick hatching half out of shell!

I work shift work (just woke up) and there is a adorable BCM half out of its shell. Also another Banty w/ the top of the egg off and some movement. Its technically day 20. I do nothing right? Just sit on my hands. When its out of its shell I still do nothing right? It can live for 72 hours w/ out food or water after 72 then I may have to intervene. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this because seeing this little guy got me all flustered!

Next hatch, I need to put a comfy lazy boy chair next to the bator all this time on my knees with my face up against it is making me feel old! 3 out, 2 more w/ cracks (are those zips or pips...I'm still not sure on that stuff)

Pips are the first crack to make a hole. Zipping is the circular line chipped away from the pip, around the eggshell.

I'm right there with you. Have eggs that have pipped, but nothing else yet. Boy do my knees hurt, lol. I have had to tie my hands up so I don't open the bator! Good luck to you. (Now, back to my bator)
