I would like to build a hybrid chicken coop/run for 12 heavy Layers. The dimensions would be 10ft long x 8ft wide by 8ft high with a gable roof, the housing area would be 8ft wide by 4ft or 6ft foot long, the rest would would be the chicken run area. I've been gathering materials so far for something like this or bigger. I want to put a walk in door, a coop window, external nest boxes with 3 to 4 compartments and be able to move this unit around my yard using trailer Jacks, this is kinda the purpose of the design. Does this sound feasible...? I do welcome input on the subject thanks for your time and Helpful input....

I'd go minimum of 8x6 for the coop housing for 12 birds.

Keep in mind winter cold and snow and summer heat.

Good articles in my signature on Space and Ventilation.
