...And now I have Honky Tonk Bedonka Donk stuck in my head. Thanks!
I called everybody but the mayor today. Everyone was nice, and concerned that I was getting a bad impression of our fair city (I played up the fact that I'm a transplant).
The Assessor's office gave me the landlord's number just like that--no waiting or callbacks or anything. I love it! Anyway, they said I should distribute it to the other neighbors that are being annoyed (insert evil laugh *mwahaha*), so Shirley and I aren't the only ones calling.
Shirley...is a tough nut to crack. I went over to talk to her today, and she seems to think that MY kids are also out making noise at night. I explained to her that my step-kids live with their grandma, and my kids are 7,6 and 3 and have bedtimes. My 14 year old lives with my parents in WI during the school year, because he goes to private school. He doesn't hang out with the Clampetts when he IS down here, and regardless, he also has a curfew of 9 pm (Rather, at 9 he has to be inside the house. At 8 he has to be on our property and quiet!).
It's like she's fed up with all kids everywhere, because of these nitwits.
Anyway, back to my story: I called the police department, and got to talk to a Sgt. about the police being called. He was great, too, but he couldn't make any promises about 3rd shift calls.
So we'll see. I'm practically salivating at the thought of calling the landlord, but so far all is quiet.
This morning, I awoke to the sound of the guy across the street telling one of the Clampett kids that they're not allowed in his yard anymore, because they're too loud. He's a big, stern-looking guy, so they might listen. I know I'm not the only one fed up here.
