I need advise

I'm having problems with my nest boxes my hens and ducks dont seem to want to lay in them but they lay outside and I'm worried that the wild birds will start getting to them.before me
Can use let me see pics or designs plans of ur nest boxes

Is the coop too hot and cramped?

You could set up tiny coop/nest boxes where they like to nest. So, just a broody coop.

The shed is 17 feet long by 8 feet wide 5 6 feet high it does get warm but I have multiple drinkers outside and 1 inside

You might also want to try putting golf balls or fake eggs in the nest boxes to encourage them to lay there.

Yes they have a huge area with rones of grass

I will try this does with the new nest boxes is there a certain amount u would need in each nest box or will 1 in each box work???

Since it is a nice big coop... (but how many birds?)

I would guess it is too stuffy.

If you cut in big holes, make sure you cover the holes with wire that is good and strong with tiny holes.
