Sorry, I logged off. It may be a bit different on your phone, but this is how I assign ring tones on mine.

-Add the number to your contact list
-Go into your contact list
-Select that number and choose 'EDIT'
-Arrow down until you get to the section titled "RING TONE"
-I have to press 'EDIT' to change the ring tone. (It normally says 'DEFAULT' in there
-Scroll through the ring tones and select the one you want to associate with that number. I have the option of 'NO RING'. If you don't have that, just pick whichever one is least offensive)
-Hit OK and save your changes.

You'll still notice that they called, but the ringing won't bother you.

The new NOT NOT CALL for cell phones goes into effect 10/1. go on their webpage and list your number as a NOT NOT CALL, then if they call tell them you are on the national registry and they cannot call again. If its family, and I have some of those, go with coffee lady & follow her directions. marrie

My brothers ex called my phone non stop. I just called the police for harrassment and it stopped.

Forgot to add. I also changed my phone # to make sure it stopped.
