Yeah... I wouldn't use chicken wire. 1/2" HC or 1/2 x 1" 14ga cage mesh.
Use same on separating wall.
...and anti dig aprons on all walls.
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation:

Will mongoose climb...do they eat chickens?
IIRC there are not tons of chicken preds in HI?
How wide is hoop house?
Might make divider wall solid to mount roosts and nests.
I forgot mention, the hot house is 40' log (5' between 8 ribs), 16' wide, and it's about 36 feet over the arch. So we're covering the arch with 6 mil plastic, it's very durable, and lasts long here, but only about 3/4's of the way down on both sides. Then, wire from there to the ground. I'm thinking hardware cloth or something similar. We do get the occational hawk (very small in comparison with what y'all got on the continental), and they will snatch up a chick, if they can. So the plastic and wire will keep them out, and the wild birds, too. I will be getting an automatic door from a guy on ebay, unless y'all have a better idea!
