My chicken recently contracted botulism and to my surprise I have gotten her through it. Everyone laughed at me but all have followed my FB posts on the matter and my once very blind and paralyzed jerky headed chicken is now up, active and regaining her sight (much to my amazement). The other day she actually laid an egg!!! I was so surprised and excited, but now my husband won't eat the eggs. I myself, am actually a little concerned, but as I want to reunite her with the group once she is feeling back up to snuff I need to know that if she is over this is it still in her system and will it pass it on to us in the eggs. Please help if you have any info on this as I have spent 2 days looking on the internet and cannot find anything very credible to share with my husband. Once she is back with the rest of the gals all the eggs will look the same and then we will really have a problem. For now she is living in my house but is now gaining strength and getting restless. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US.
