My opinion the 110VAC is much easier. it's "plug-n-play" no adapters etc. And if ya don't want asmuch air just install a dimmer switch.

OK so I am right off Hwy 12 So where did ya live (general area) ?

I just had to stick my nose in here because the price of that radio shack fan is crazy! You can get one of those fans at Frys for under 4 bucks! Easy to wire up to an old transformer 5 or 12 volt (telephones are usually 5). Easy, seriously!. Just look at the Molex 8981 connector in this wiki article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molex_connector and if you are using a phone transformer, hook up the corisponding line for 5 volts (red) or if you are using something that perhaps used to run a home telephone set charger or some such, attach the yellow wire to the power line. They're tiny wires, so I like using electrical tape after twisting them carefully together. But I'm sure you've already solved your problem by now, was just shocked at that price!
