I have two batches of eggs in my bator one was put in saturday the 19th and one tuesday the 22nd. I accidently mixed them up when turning and know i only know for sure about one of them!
Should i just keep turning them all or stop turning all of them at day 18 for my first batch? And if i raise the humidity for the ones that will need to hatch earlier, will it drown my younger ones?
There is only 3 days in between the batches so i hope it wont hurt. Someone please help

You should keep turning them - if you turn them after day 18 it wont hurt them. Its just not necessary.

Bring the humidity up on day 18 though - use an egg carton to hold them all during lock down. That way the air cell is up & held up during the hatch. They wont drown if the head is up.

Good luck!

Ok, thank you so much! I would never have thought of the egg carton! Thats very smart, thanks again so much! i've been so worried about this!
Also, with they be okay to hatch out of the egg cartons? Its not going to hurt thier legs or anything right? Or should i just take them out of the carton one by one when i see/ hear them pip?

hatching out in an egg carton, you would still put them pointy end down? And just a regular egg carton? Thanks, im a first timer.....

Most people who use an egg carton cut the bottoms out so there is more air flow - cut the top off too.

Pointy end down. you want the air cell up.

They wont get hurt - I've done all of my hatches in egg cartons.

Dont use an 18 egg carton. The chicks in the middle cant get out very well. The chick will break out of the shell & then drop to the hatcher floor. This does not hurt them at all & it protects the other eggs from the early birds so they dont get kicked around.
