We have a kindle as well. (Not the Fire, though! Jealous here!) I love it because I can find most books I want to read, plus a gazillion more. Like a library in my hands!

A dictionary is a great read, though. Seriously.

We actually recognise words not necessarily read them. That is why misspelled words stand out. Most spelling mistakes on forums are from keyboard mistakes.

My DH swears by something called "Kindle for PC". Apparently it's a free download that enables you to read ebooks on your computer, so you don't have to have a kindle. There are free books you can download and some way you can check out books from your local library through Amazon. He swears by it; used to be hard to get him away from the computer, but now that he can read whole books on it... oh, my. Nothing ever gets done around here.

Have you ever read the Mary O'Hara books "Green Grass of Wyoming" and "Thunderhead"? I used to love those when I was younger. Have copies of them and have read them many times over. If you love horses, you'll love them. They're a great read, great stories, good plots and characters.

I have a million books that I have read a million times! That's why I'll be getting a Kindle.
And I do write short stories when I run out of books.
To the OP: If you want to name a genre or just want a little of everything, PM me your address and I'd be happy to ship you a little early Christmas present

You can enable spell check on your browser so you don't have to go far to correct your spelling

My dad always drilled proper grammar and spelling into my head. He said that if you do not use spell check, it shows laziness. If I have to correct a word on spell check, I try to remember the corrected way of spelling said word. It really helps!

Punctuation is important as well.

Sorry, not trying to be offensive. I just wanted to give you a few pointers

I would rather just have an iPad though. My fiancée has one, and it is a lot nicer to read on. I would rather not try to pry it from her hands though

She is addicted to that device!
