I need help identifying worms please!!!!!

I've just discovered these very tiny white worms (2-3 millimeters) moving around in a pool of liquid excrement! They are in a ball shape one moment then extend one end and become elongated so as to move along. I found them peppered in more healthy looking poop as well... please see second photo, it's a bit blurred.

I've been searching online all afternoon hoping to identify them. I saw another member's photo here on BYC that looked just identical, so I'm hopeful it's a common parasite and someone here will know what it is. Please look at my photos and help if you can!

We're just getting our first case of feather lice under control right now too. My goodness, so much to learn! Thanks in advance!!

They are tapeworm segments. Use valbazen or zimectrin gold to kill the tapeworms infecting your birds.

The worms are soft bodied and move independently. I think of tape segment as somewhat rigid and geometrical. Can the segments move on their own? (How horrifying if so!)

If they do happen to be pieces of tapeworm, any idea if they are species specific or could they have been picked up from the cats?
