I been looking around for a game cam for the last year and half not something to expensive. Up to 90 is my price range, I am very concerned about my chickens and ducks. Something odd happend to me yesterday that fuel my suspicions for me I didn't say anything to anyone becouse they would tell me I am overreacting but now I think I need to do serveillance on my yard.

Hi, I know zilch about the subject, but i do recall there being a thread on BYC a few weeks ago on the subject. Maybe try searching for something like "game cam / chicken cam" by using the search box and you may find some useful info there.

All the best

This is my personal favorite out of the game cams that I have used. I have never used a cam to watch what's going on with my chickens, but I use them to monitor deer before hunting season. Its relatively cheap compared to other cams out there on the market. If this cam isn't quite what you're looking for, I would stick with Moultrie brand. They'll give you the most bang for your buck.

]thank you it's perfect and not too expensive thank you. The reason why is that is yesterday I was sitting with them and out of the corner of my eye I saw flying at my chickens and it skimmed my back it I jump up and look there was nothing there. The 2 chickens that where the target where making a lot of noise. Over the last 11/2 I have been finding all these rocks that weren't there before becouse I keep picking them up a few time I found glass little pieces of dinner plates and other things. This will be my 3rd summer with them and never had a problem. The people that live next door I know they like chickens becouse I gave them so many but they got rid if them becouse his daughter and son I law move in to save dor a house and they got rid of their chickens and that's when I started all the extra rocks and stuff. I can't prove anything intill I see it. The town let me keep my rooster mr handsome and he pretty quite but when he hears their voices he starts crowing a lot.

I would find one with infrared not a normal flash. If you have people trespassing they will see the flash and destroy your camera.

Game cams all have infrared flashes so you're pretty much safe with any one you pick. If they had a regular flash they'd scare the deer which kinda defeats the purpose of what they're mainly used for.

Actually the ones on my property have a regular flash, Im not concerned with trespassers, and they are cheaper. I can show you thousands of pictures of all kinds of animals with the flash. They don't spook at all. Coons, deer, you name it. Mine is set up to take a picture every minute as long as it is detecting movement. I have had 20 plus flash pictures of the same deer that was just feeding and never got out of range of the camera.

@silly4buttons
I know this is last year, but wondered what happened and what kind of Cam you got ?

I had the SAME thing happen with the people on the other side of my Duplex.
The kids were taken away by DSS but I think they are now being allowed to stay.
SO NEED a camera so I can catch those little shits in the act !

Shoot, I don't even mind if they see the camera AND the flash.
