I have 5 Rhode Island Reds and one Cinnamon Queen I got them in March and April. I haven't had any real big problems with them but one of my Rhode Island Reds is starting to look kind of raggedy. She is eating and laying but not everyday. See pics!!

All chickens lose their old feathers and grow new ones every year. Best wishes! 
There certainly is a learning curve with chickens. When my chickens' first molted, I thought that they were infested or something!
