i dont have the nicest neighbors. my feeder goes for about 2 weeks, and my waterer about 1. they have a run so they arent crammed in to the coop. i am fine with it if the eggs are no good but will the hens either go broody or eat them please help me.
I would close off the nest boxes until you get home. Then when you get back home they can go back to their boxes. If this is a bad idea i am sure someone will chime in. Leave an extra big bowl of water for them just in case.
As ive heard , if your chickens start to eat the eggs though it will be very hard for them not to keep eating them . IDK what to say, yes leave extra water , wait ........ can a family member help you take care of them ???
my whole family is coming but i will leave extra water and also i just want to know will the chickens eat the eggs if they are left in the nest box they never have so far
What about a neighbor kid? Are there any neighbor kids that really seem to fancy the chickens? Our kids are chicken obsessed, and don't see them as "work".
