I need help with my rooster!!!!

My rooster is sick and hasn't been dust bathing and i noticed he has lice. I wanted to use DE but I don't think it would be very effective because I would have to try and wiggle him around like he were bathing. So I was wondering if there was a nontoxic spray or a liquid that I could wash him with. Also I still haven't been able to figure out what he is sick with. His comb started curling over the other day and is slightly purplish on the tips. He is very slow and sleeps pretty much all day. His face around his eyes is also pale. He does not have watery eyes or a snotty nose. And he hes green poop. If anyone knows what this could be and any treatment that would be great. I also have no clue how old he is. He's a great rooster and I really want to get him fixed up.

Has he been wormed? The pale color could be an indicator of worms or a heart condition. Curling/purple comb can be a circulation/heart issue, too. The green poop means he hasn't been eating much, most likely. I do use DE to dust my birds and it has been effective against lice. You dust under the wings, the hackles and around the vent area. I'm sure there are mild flea and tick shampoos that you can use as well if you want to bathe him.

EDITED TO ADD: I'd bring him in, make sure he's warm, and then you can observe and give him good food and care.

what is DE? Is that like Seven Dust?

You can get Adams' flea and tick spray; my vet sells it; I think it also comes in a dip. It is sold for cats and dogs. It is permethrins and pyrethrin. To dust with DE, use a shaker can or put some in an old nylon stocking and use like a powder puff.

DE is diatomaceous earth. It's naturally occurring and very useful for a variety of applications.

I haven't ever wormed him. Would he have worms in his poop if he did have that?

You may or may not see the worms, depends what type he may have.
For the lice, Petsmart makes a spray that is Permythrin (sp?)
based that works well.
