I have had chickens for almost a year now, and most of them we have raised from chicks. Last weekend we bought some 3 day old chicks. I had read somewhere that you should quaratine new animals to your coop. So, here is my question: not only did we get the new chicks last week, but inherited the chicks hatched out yesterday from my daughters school...can I mix all of them now, or do they all need to be quarantined before going into our brooder box together?

Personally, I would mix all the babies. It will be a while before you add them to the outside girls....JMO.

The chicks from school probably haven't been exposed to other chickens so should be fine to mix. Not sure where you got the other chicks but if they are from a hatchery they are probably fine too. Good luck. Sounds like you have your hands full!
