I have two red sex linked chicks and they are just starting to get their feathers in and they were the same color before they got their feathers in but now one is white and the other is red. Can someone tell me how to tell wether they are male or female? ill post some pics ltr

I have 2 red stars which are like red sex links.
The lady I bought them from gives me different shades of the same breed so I can tell them apart.
One is the traditional red star color and the other looks like a Rhode Island red except a little bit of white on the end of the tail and a very faint line of white on the neck.

Hope this helps!!!

the red sex link roosters are mostly white and the hens are a mix of red and white. time will tell for sure

Thanks guys i will try to take some pics for u. The one i think is a rooster has real long tail feathers so far and has real long legs and already has a comb and spurs coming in but hes red and from what ive read the roosters are suppose to come in white and the other one has short legs and very little sign of a comb or anything and seems to be a female but is white and they both looked exactly the same at day one

it could also be the the hen/rooster combo that the eggs came from, there are many diff combos used to get red stars and sex links

I have 5 rsl pullets and a couple of them are mostly white. They will be 10 weeks on Wednesday.
