I eat WAYYYYY to many sweets, I know I do, and they taste wayyyy to sweet. However, I'm having trouble breaking the addiction of eating sweets. Anybody have any tips? I NEED HELP!!!!! Please, I'm tired of eating 2 to 4 sweets a day. Please help!!

If you crave sweets, chances are you are lacking protein in your diet. It makes you crave the instant high from sugar. Try eating smaller high protein meals throughout the day. One treat of a small portion size is not bad.

Just say NO!!! LOL. Please back away from the sweets, Got milk!.
They will rot your teeth, do any of these sound familar LOL.

AL

P.S. send me your stash when you kick the habit.

Ok...possible replacements for sweets....peanut butter (READ LABELS...MOST have HFCS in them...high froctose corn syrup...SUGAR), cheese, fruit (apples, pears).

Do you eat sweets when you're sitting at a computer trying to pass time? Well then...find something more 'healthy' to munch on. ummm....celery, carrots, beef jerkey (as long as you're not a vegetarian).

I drink unsweetened tea WITH LIQUID STEVIA extract in it as a sweetener. You have to kinda 'shop around' for one that tastes the best to you...don't use TOO MUCH or it'll be bitter. Keep the drink COLD. (I can't drink regular 'sweet tea' now...it's just too sweet!)

I have my moments of decadence...trust me. I just TRY VERY HARD to find something else to stick in my mouth! i DO know that once you start eating the hard candy....you can't stop! So keep it away from you....have the 'candy bowl' at home or work HIDDEN from your SIGHT!

But seriously....read the food labels of EVERYTHING you buy...you'll be surprised what has SUGAR (HFCS) in it! VERY surprising things you'd NEVER think...have it!!! (Those whole "high fructose corn syrup" commercials KILLS ME....SURE it's fine in moderation...but that's IMPOSSIBLE considering HFCS is in EVERYTHING!!!!!!) Once you become aware of HOW MUCH sugar you're actually eating in EVERYTHING...and make some changes...you won't CRAVE that much sugar anymore. And an occasional 'indulgence' is fine...just not the WHOLE bag of Jolly Ranchers!!! (ask me how I know!

Good luck fighting the Sugar Bugs! I feel your pain!

Try sugar free mints. My DBF swears by Icebreakers. That may help you avoid all of that sweet snacking.

I keep a few packs of sugar free gum around, the 5 gum in the black wrapper is fab (try the pink berry flavor).

Try Jello brand sugar free pudding. The kind you COOK not the kind you mix and eat. You can use skim milk or if your grocery store carries a good tasting low carb milk that's even better.

I'm in Texas and HEB carries Mootopia which is a great tasting low carb milk.

....I should be taking my own advice here....
