I need help! Work from home??

I drive a truck. My biggest issue is having to go back over the road. I DO NOT want to do it. I have teens, dogs, chickens and horses. My DH can't do it all by himself - especially the teenagers part! But what am I seeing in the paper? $8 an hour restaurant jobs or medical/dental jobs. It'd be great if I was an out of work nurse or a 16 yr old living at home. How does one go from $21+ an hour to $8??? How can you possibly pay bills and well...eat?

Sorry to steal your thread, I just figured with a USPS job, I'd be more secure. I didn't figure my company would lose their contract....

I understand! I can't even GEt an $8 hour job right now! There are some jobs, but so many people are applying for them, they are hard to get! I have been home for almost a year now and I have started incubating and selling chicks, but I would have to sell 500 chicks a month to even think about surviving!LOL I have also accumulated alot more animals since last year and I don't know how I will go to work when I am working ALL day with all the animals! I would love to find a night time job or one that I can work from home!

Well i know Avon and Mary kay are legit! Just hard to sell in this economy. I know the medical transcripts you have to take a class. Not long, some community schools have it. My friend does it from home and makes 5 bucks a transcript. She does billing as well. She loves it! Call a trade school near you and ask if they have the program and financial aid.

I worked with this company for about 3 or 4 months until I got something better. Basically you answer the incoming calls for infomercials. I got calls for the temperpedic beds, those health books, time life books, etc. Once you get hired (all done on the phone or online) you log into their computer system, they forward the calls to your home phone, you answer your phone and just read the computer screens. There is a lot of upsales, but you don't get more money for upsales. You get paid by the minute. I never tried to keep people on the phone, because as soon as you finished one call and hung up, there was another waiting. I made 200 or 300 every two weeks. It wasn't alot, but it paid some bills and put a little food on the table until I got an office job.

I know this one is legit. You don't pay for anything. BUT... there does have to be openings in your area. (why that matters I'll never know. your taking calls from all over the states)

I work part time for We*t at home. They pay min wage. I love the flexibility. I love getting paid on time. But getting hours is difficult. You have to stalk for hours as there are too many agents and not enough hours.

I know that one is a real job. I'm sure there are others, but they probably require dsl too.
