I need help

Hi there, your pictures are on, I can see them. That foot looks awfully sore, I'd say definitely an infection of some sort. I have no personal experience with frostbite, but many on here do and I'm sure you will hear from some of them soon. In the meantime, I just took part in a discussion about amputations in another thread, probably not something you want to think about, but it is worth reading and there are numerous happy outcomes. Good luck he's a handsome little guy.

Can y'all see pics
Yes, i can see them. If it is cold where you are, I would definitely suspect frostbite. Otherwise, I think its just a bad infection. The black parts will probably fall off on their own, and the other parts may eventually do so as well. I would try another Penicillin injection or two.

Yes your pictures are showing up. I would guess that you are dealing with an infection in the joint or bone, possibly mycoplasma synoviae, but I also feel like he has some frostbite on his comb and his toes. See post #5 in this thread (This is one person's opinion, so I'm not saying that this is true, but worth reading): https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/848315/rooster-with-infected-foot

Here is some info on frostbite and also some info on MS:

Should I try to drain anything or clean or bandage it
I would use an antibiotic ointment applied gently--don't massage or rub in, and I would not try to drain anything that looks black like frostbite. If you could possibly take him to a vet to have him tested for MS and treated for the infection in the foot, I would.

Yes we can see them. he seems to have a really bad infection. The blackness is dead tissue that may not ever come back. Can he stand on it at all? Keep going with the antibiotics and you may able to save him. you may not save that foot. A vet may have to amputate those toes before he looses the foot entirely. The blacker it gets the less likely he will survive so visit a vet ASAP! It Will get septic and eventually he will die of it, if you can't stop the black "dead tissue" progression. If it just keeps getting worse it could be getting critical. I know it's really hard to loose one that you've grown so attached to but if you have the best for him and sometimes only a vet can tell you what that is.....

Prayers and good vibes are coming your way!!! Keep us posted!!!! We worry for all God's critters and wish them all well......

Ty y'all so much for ur great advice, I hate that it's frost bite Bc he has been in a insulated shop in a dog kennel full of hay with a heat Lamp. I really thought that would keep away frost bite, do you think that the infection could have cause the toes to turn black I am just wondering. I really want him to Live Bc he has saved my flock three different times by calling the hens and running under the trampoline when a Hawk was flying around, and there where two times that stray dogs came up and attacked and the only reason I knew was Bc he literally came to the front door and yelled and yelled until I came out to see what the fuss was about. Also a fox struck and he actually pecked and yelled at the front door until I came out . Of corse these attacks only happen when. Dually dog my English Mastiff was inside. He also for into a fight with another stray rooster and was really beat. Up but he made it through and when he breeds he doesn't pull the hair out of my hens. Head or the back feathers !! He is just a trooper and I think I will go to vet if amputating his leg has to be done. I am just gonna pray it will pink n up. He can put weight on it, just not a lot.

Also does this look like bumble foot or what started as bumble foot. I feel bad Bc I poked into his foot and only found a little clear drainage but the foot started getting nasty after I opened it up. Before that it was just
Swolle and he hopped. I only did surgery Bc every one had said its bumble foot but I caused the infection Bc until them his for had no open wounds. I thought I was helping him really hoping and praying he can pull out of this. Any ideas on what cause it originally he literaly just started limping one day

It's hard to tell about bumblefoot with all of the discoloration from infection and frostbite. Usually with bumblefoot, I have seen a swollen foot pad and a black spot. Sometimes they limp, but usually they don't. Mycoplasma Synoviae is like CRD in the bone. That causes a limp, plus swelling in the joints. Sometimes they lay down a lot and rub a blister on the chest. Tylan would treat that. So would Baytril from a vet. It would be good to get him tested because MS is contagious, and your others could get it, if he might have it (I hope not.) I have also heard that heat lamps can cause more frostbite, because they cause more moisture in the coop, and moisture is what causes frostbite. Please click on and read those links in post #6.
