I need house chicken tips

Sweet PDZ is an all-natural, non-hazardous and non-toxic mineral. It captures, neutralizes and eliminates harmful levels of ammonia and odors.Sweet PDZ is a far superior alternative to lime products for ammonia removal and moisture absorption
Not a wood pellet.
Like other types of bedding, it’s changed with the company. The actual PDZ is a different material, and I had forgotten after all these years. Please remember your manners. It isn’t important enough to bite my head off.

Wow, where did I bite your head off just because I posted what it was and you cant handle being wrong? Geez get over yourself seriously! Talk about manners.

I love PDZ. I use it on my poop boards, and I've sprinkled it in my run when it got mucky after the 4 in of rain we just got....

This is all good info. I realized I don't have a good plan if I need to bring someone inside. I think I'll invest in a diaper just in case.

Also, please remember that it's quite easy to misconstrue written correspondence. I find almost all disagreements over text involve miscommunication. I also find it's helpful to always presume positive intentions if there is ever a doubt as to someone's tone.

And emojis are really, really helpful. ;)

My conciliatory 2 cents.

Sweet PDZ is the mineral zeolite.
If you have a TSC you can get there in the horse aisle.
It may help, but not sure how much inside a house.

I would keep him in a crate rigged like this, with tray underneath for easier cleaning.
ETA: if you had this crate you could put crate out in coop.

You could add a chunk of 2x4 on floor for a 'roost'.

This would work great for OP. And yes, Chickens poop A LOT! Recently had to tend to a rooster 1x/day over several days. In for treatment that would last about 30 min. Always pooped at least 1x, sometime 4x! And boy, can it stink!

We had quail and kept them in cages. We had cages with wire bottom, like in the pic above. For the tray, we scattered clay kitty litter (NON-scented), which did help with the smell. It is very cheap to get - Walmart sold their "special kitty" brand clay litter for around $4. With any bird, you cannot use scents - their respiratory systems are very sensitive, so always get non-scented. Also, you don't really want them to eat it, so having the wire bottom would be important. If you sprinkle PDZ on top of kitty litter, would also help, but the PDZ is much more expensive.

Good Luck to OP!
