I need MOISTURE!!!!

Deb the feeding tube to refill and the humidifier in the closet with the bator have worked well for me too. Yes, I keep the bator in a closet so that the humidity has a chance to build up. Before the humidifier I used the spare bathroom and ran the shower 2 or 3 times a day. While it was running I soaked a couple beach towels and hung them over the shower curtain to keep the humidity up between showers. All the time keep the bathroom door closed of course so you have a small wet room for your bator.

Wynette taught me this one .....

Soak a Maxi-Pad (sanitary napkin) and set it inside the bator.

What about wet towels over the bator? Is it a styrofoam bator? Maybe that would help?

In my Octagon 40 I would cover the floor of the bator with paper towels. They would wick the water out of the wells and give maximum surface area for evaporation, resulting in higher humidity.

Another option would be to find an old 20 gallon fish tank and put the bator inside that with an inch of water on the bottom and a lid covering 80% of the top.

Yes that would work too. Anything you can do to create a space where your bator is enjoying a higher humidity. As long as it has enough air that the eggs get a fresh oxygen supply, but not enough air movement that the moisture is mostly trapped there. I used a closet but a cupboard would to too, or an old cabinet, or anything like a big fish tank, a huge rubbermaid, probably many whathaveyou thingys will do. I would just not use anything with seals, an old fridge or freezer say, unless you ruined the seals or created ventilation.

for moistureput a cupof water in the microvave until it steams . Quickly out it in and close the top. There u have it.Humidy in the microwave !
