I know what you mean! The first week mine were out, everytime I would wake up in the middle of the night I had to go peek at my girls! Now they come running when they hear the door, so I try not to disturb them so much.
My favorite "chicken ritual" now is, when I'm finished with the chicken chores in the evening, I turn off the light in the coop, and watch them go into their henhouse and perch for the night. The next thing you know, it's morning and time to check on them before I go to work. (Which is what I'm going to do now, if I can tear myself away from this website!!)
Don't worry they'll be fine!!
