We had her fixed on Tues morn, today she wasn't bouncing back, And then started to bleed from her stitches, so back to the vet, come to find out we got her then before she bled to death, she had internal bleeding. We don't know the cause, all her internal stitches were intact, and she did have some clots. They thing she has a clotting disorder or she was poisoned by rat poison which we do not have in or around our home. We use traps for mice.
She is in the overnight hospital and doing a bit better. Se need prayers, she is such a good dog, and we were just trying to be responsible and have her fixed, but feel we shouldn't have done it.
Oh Roxy. please pull through.
Thanks
Brenda
Roxy made it through the night, her blood levels were good all night then, at 6:00am they droped, so they gave her a blood transfusion.
She was stabilized and send back to the vet for the day. Her numbers are holding so far, and se=he seems perky and alert!
Please keep the prayers coming!
Thanks for all your responces.
They said at the hospital that they didn't feel she has the blood clotting disorder, and that the numbers didn't point to rat poison, so were are at a loss as what really happened.
All I know is she was healthy when we took her there, and now she isn't!
Thanks again for the prayers!
Update 2
Roxy is coming home, she had another nights stay at the vet this time, I was so worried cuz no one was there all night through.
Her blood levels look better so they say she is on her way!
Now to fight about the bill, I hope they don't charge us anymore, We had 154.00 for the spay, 424.00 for the hospital stay.
My DH has lost his job so money is so tight right now!
We are happy that she will be ok! I'm still worried though!
Back from the vet!
Another 515.00 at the vets
Yikes that was one expensive spay.
I was hoping they would have knocked the bill down a little more.
Thanks again for all your prayers, she seems weak and tired but comes in when she hears someone getting into food, so she is somewhat getting back to herself!
