WHAT?????? After all the work you guys put in?????? OMFG!!! I knew he was a jerk but DANG!!!!!! Im so sorry ya'll! At least he took them some place they can be cared for. Sorry I missed the other post! I been busy trying to get my own birds out of the house and into the new coop. Boy they didn't like that! LOL Well I really wish you the best of luck!!! I have incredibly fantastic news!!!!!!!!

ok, so we finally got our 24 hatching eggs about three weeks ago, after waiting about 4 months!! and they are 12 silkie eggs and either 12 barred plymonth rocks or 12 red sex link. and guess what!?!?!!! WE ARE MOMMIES!!!!

We had two eggs hatch this morning-a brown egg and a white egg, the brown was mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so EXCITED!!! (if you couldnt already tell haha) I will keep you all posted!!Im pretty sure Kasie is writing something as I am typing this too

we have new chicks that are hatching as i type!!!!!!!!!

my class is so excited!!!!!!!

we have two that have hatched so far our eggs arent supposed to hatch until tomorrow May 21, 2010 is that ok that they came early?? what does that mean for the rest?? thank you all so much for all of the love and support!

you all are so amazing!!!!!!!!! we will take any advise you can give us! this experience is going to be totally different from the last time thats for sure!!!! thank you all so much!

Early is fine! Might have been a touch too warm but it is fine! Some just don't like to wait. LOL
I'm so glad you get to try again! I know you will be better prepared this time. Just keep asking questions. We all had to learn! Congrats on the new Fuzzy Butts!!!!

Bad News-once again, out of the 24 eggs that Nature's Hatchery sent us, only 3 hatched because the rest were infertile. We spent about 88 dollars on these eggs, waited for about 4 months for them with various shipping and stock problems only to have 3 hatch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! uggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just feel like God doesn't want us to have success in hatching eggs!! But thanks to all who have listened to Kasie's and my journey, i will try to keep you posted on the three that did hatch.

soooooooooo once again i have a sick chick here..... he is backed up i have taken a warm cloth to his butt but its not coming off he is extremly small and very week. i have givin him egg and he has food and water.... he is only interested in drinking if i put his beak in the water.....he will not touch the egg

i am so worried that he is to far gone..... i am frustrated with this whole thing

the other two are doing good but this one is the smallest when i went to check on him today the other chickens had pulled out his butt feathers.... what do i do? i cant stand to lose another one

Hello everyone!!

So I havent been on here in awhile and I have some good news!! I am taking another Ag. class and my teacher, the one from last year, gave us the news that we will once again be incubating eggs. I am so happy to try again! So my question and my pleas is that you can help give me all the info i need on how to do this right!! i really want success this time!! thanks so much for everyone who has followed me and Kasie, unfortunately she went off to college. Oh! and one of the chicks, Waverly, from the 3 that hatched on our last try is doing great!!! she is huge now my friend tells me!! i will try to post pics soon!!
