Yay!!! Ok now my last 2 major concerns are
#1 I am worried about the heat issue ... Again how long do they need to be so hot ?
And ....
How long before they "like" me?
Right now they don't like to snuggle or for me to hold them . :-( they don't follow or anything , but being I haven't had them a week yet I'm not worried ... YET....
Thanks so much for all your kind help !!!
At 4 weeks they can probably handle the corn as long as they are getting grit. If you can get a duck and goose blend then you have hit the jack pot, most of us can't and have to add niacin to our ducks food. Put the grit in a separate bowl for them and they will use it as needed. And the niacin should be given till 10-12 weeks old. Might as well finish the niacin up for a couple more weeks then they should be fine.HELP !! I have an emergency question!!! The duckies are about 4 weeks old (tomorrow) and they are very very spoled lol! I give them lots of treats 9mealworms are their fav1) and koi food and theyre nuts over veggies too, but I am going to New Hampshire today (7 hours from where I live) and I have a "sitter" to come and change water and refill food etc...I just ran out of chick starter feed from when I got them...and there's no time to get more....so I have all living things duck and goose blend...i feed like the corn inside is too hard for them, so i strained it through a collander and only the litler seeds fell through,,,,is that sufficient for them? i usually add a sprinkle of koi food, meal worms and grit to their regular food...And they've been drinking the niacin water...how much longer do they need that?
