I need some reassurance . . . UPDATE page 3

I am getting black Silkies and a variety of colors of Polish. I love the first Polish chicks they sent me so much I had to order more. I also read on another thread today that someone else was pleased with their Silkies, so I hope I will be happy with those little guys also.

I am also expecting an order from Cackle tomorrow! My post office is very good about calling and making sure the box is safe and out of harms way, but then I live in a very small town where "everybody knows your name"... smiles. The postmistress told me that the truck comes at 6:30am and she gets there at 7:00... I will be there at 6:30! I hope they arrive tomorrow!

I live in one of those towns, too. They know I will drive them crazy until I get my chicks, so they will call me as soon as they get them.

I live in North Central Arkansas and my Cackle order shipped on Monday of this week. The post office called me yesterday (Wednesday) morning to let me know they had arrived. I was halfway expecting them to be here on Tuesday since we are so close. Anyway, everyone was happy and healthy. I hope yours arrive the same way. You'll have to update us when they get there!

My Cackle order arrived this morning, the post office called at 7:00am and the chicks and poults are in great shape! They are all healthy and running around eating and drinking. I dipped beaks and got very bad looks from them... laughing. They seem to be drinking fine so I guess they didn't think they needed THAT introduction! I ordered 8 BR turkeys and 12 RIR chicks, the 2 males were marked with green coloring on their head... smiles. Everything was exactly as ordered and I am a very happy "mommy"!

I know yours have arrived. But I wanted to add that if you have a long drive from the post office, you may want to bring food and water with you. I'm not sure how much difference getting food and water 30 minutes to an hour sooner is, but it can't hurt.

Mine did not come today. This is the 2nd day, so they will be spending at least 3 days in the mail. I am so upset!

Did you guys call Cackle to be sure they did ship?

Also, I've heard others tell of how they got their local PO to do checking on packages t see where they were in transit, to be certain they weren't lost- might be worth a try to see if they can/will.
