I need suggestions for good gardening/chicken coop clogs

The thing about crocs, I love them and practically live in them, is that when they wear down the traction on the sole they are deadly slippery! They don’t cost much I suppose but I wear them out pretty quickly. I live in wet country so I have rubber boots in all heights! Bogs are good, so are Muck brand but really expensive. I found some this year at a nursery that I really like.
True, croc soles wear down and get slippery. My feet get wet in heavy rainfall when I stay outside for a while. They are not good on mud / in rainy weather.
I also use old open clogs, where I can slip in easily, but they are a bit slippery on mud too.
For rainy days I have a pair of old leather booties with a good profiled sole. But I don’t like to stay outside in the rain. So I don’t wear them much. And I bought rubber boots for rainy weather about 10 years ago, they are like new bc I don’t like wearing them at all.

I am feeling at a loss for easy to slip on gardening clogs (I’d even consider shoes as long as they are easy on and off). The internet keeps telling me sloggers or crocs and I’m just not convinced. I don’t mind paying big money for shoes IF, and only if, they last a very long time. At this point I’m looking at bogs but am unsure. Please tell me which ones you wear and/or would suggest. Thank you 🌸🌼🌺

Well for gardening...all the poeple I know like to just use their oldest pair of shoes.

But way back in the day, back when people had to use irrigation ditches they'd use waders so they wouldn't have to get wet going through the ditches. (And they'd have to do that to make sure none of the ditches got clogged with debris.

I have a pair of mucks that are awesome but mine are boots. I also have vibrams though and they are wonderful for warm dry days! I enjoy going barefoot so I mow and everything in these when the weather allows it.

Walmart has a work shoe line that have an anti slip sole. Don't know what they are called. Some have shoe laces. Some don't. I found the pair i have at a goodwill about 2 years ago. The soles still have their anti slip capability. And you know how slippery chicken poop can be.
Good to know, I’ll have to check them out next time I’m there!

These are the ones I got at a local nursery. The brand is western chief and they seem to be pretty well built. I didn’t have a choice of color. They were $65 out so, I believe the Muck brand is much more. View attachment 2182646
I checked them out on amazon and they are actually rated to -20 degrees  that’s pretty impressive. Some reviews mentioned the tags to pull on/off broke, I see the front one is okay, did the back loop stay on so far?

The Muck brand is the best! I have their all season tall boots, they last several years and are waterproof, and warm in winter. Very comfortable!
In summer when it's dry i wear the older 'retired' pair of running shoes, with the laces loose enough to slip on and off.

I definitely think I will be purchasing their muck boot for fall/winter time that folds down to ankle length. It seems to be a very well liked brand.

I currently have been using my older pair of moccasins but they just are not cutting it! I just can’t stand wet feet and whenever I wear my old sneakers they end up wet, even if I was supposedly doing something that didn’t require watering because I always end up doing it anyways!

I had some Muck brand ankle high boots which were really good! They were plaid so looked kinda silly but I wore them for several years. Insulated so great in the cold and also kept my feet from sweating when I mowed the lawn in spring and summer. Their traction was so good they were safer to wear on slippery grass than the old runners I usually use in the summer. We live in a hill so traction is everything here.
I definitely think I’m going to get them for fall/winter, don’t they make your feet too hot for summer though? Also are they that easy to get on/off?

this is what I was looking at bug figured it’d be too hot and hard to get on/off for summer time quick runs out to the coop or to go pull weeds.

I used to have a pair of Bog knockoffs. They were a Canadian Tire brand (which I know you can't get down there). They were a lot cheaper than Bogs but sooo comfortable and lasted me about 4 or 5 years. Finally got a crack in the sole last fall but could not find the same ones again so I got a Woods brand to replace them. Not sure if they are available in the States. They are the same style as the high Bogs. I find them quite comfortable and I wear them all the time as we have a very wet property as well.
I just tried looking and didn’t have much luck finding them. What style is it so I can try typing more than just woods boots...it was giving me cowboy boots lol
