O.k. we are moving to an area that up until we move has been uninhabited woods and mnt land. We no there are going to be problems with snakes, coons and prob coyotes. We no there are deer but dont anticipate any probs from them. Our critters we will need pens for include ducks ( we have found a place for a pond for them that would have a boulder rocky bottom), Chickens from 2mo old to 1 yr old ( one of our dogs despise them so that is also a factor).

We will have allot of fencing to do so we are considering using one of these ---- http://www.lowes.com/SearchCatalogD...1&N=0&newSearch=true&Ntt=330+ft+fence&x=0&y=0 it is fairly cheap and strong because we are planning on adding bigger animals later on. ( if the link doesn't work go to www.lowes.com and search 330ft fence " click cancell when it asks for zip code or local store")

I know the holes are fairly large- I was thinking of lining the area the chickens and ducks will be in with --

since I already have it an possibly deer netting draped over top and sides to help with snakes.

not a very good idea you may lose all your animals using plastic fencing. if a wild coyote or coon or any other predator comes by and sees your birds that plastic fencing stands no chance. (It would just be free food for the wild) and you will be very upset, also you want to remember there are also predators in the sky as well as on the ground easy access for a hawk or owl to swoop in and grab a bird.

You will also need a 7-8 foot tall fence ( deer can easily jump over a 5-6foot fence from a standstill) to keep the deer out or they will eat all of the chickens' feed.
