I need to know what I'm doing wrong...

Okay, phew! What do internally pipped eggs look like on the outside?
No different than before. All it means is that they have broken the membrane on the air cell. Usually the only sign they’ve pipped internally is cheeping. They will usually sit until they use up the air in the air cell. After that they make the external pip which is the one you will be able to see. And they usually sit and rest for awhile after that one too. Hatching is pretty exhausting for them so they take a lot of naps lol.
