I need to know what I'm doing wrong...

Thank you for all the support throughout the process, hopefully I'll have some baby pictures to post in a day or two.
I have a big question, there's an egg laying under the air vent where I put the water in. I'm scared of pouring water onto it, can I open for a few seconds and move the egg? I'm pretty scared because one of the eggs is piping, and Google said, if I open it, the membrane will shrink.

One quick opening should be fine, once or twice a day. (This can include adding water or taking out chicks that have finished hatching.)

Problems are more likely if you open it many times, or keep it open for a long time.

But the eggs do move around during hatching, so even if you move the egg this time, it might happen again. Depending on the size of the air vent, maybe you could use a drinking straw to direct the water past the egg? Or a chopstick to slide the egg to the side out of the way?

Good and exciting news!!! Heard loud cheeps this morning, and after I came home, she's out!
