I have 2 egg laying hens, and 13 1 month old chicks. Im planning to put both of them together in their coop, because i use to put the chicks in my shed before but i want to put them together now. I heard online, that egg laying hens can't eat medicated or unmedicated chick feed, and chicks can't eat egg laying feed due to the amount of calcium. I need to know how I should feed them because both of them love each others food and they eat when its not good for them. So can someone please help me?

Laying hens can eat unmedicated chick food if you offer oyster shell on the side to meet calcium requirements. I wouldn't give them medicated but others may disagree. Once chicks are 6+ weeks you can use All Flock with oyster shell on the side.

Ok thank you i know that hens eating medicated feed will affect the eggs
If the Medicated feed contains "Amprolium" as the active ingredient, the eggs are safe to eat. From Nutrena. See myth #3.

If the feed contains anything other than Amprolium as the "active" ingredient I wouldn't eat the eggs or meat, unless the feed tag says otherwise.

I feed my egg laying hens a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower 18% with a container of Oyster Shells separately. GC

My chickens eat Purina Flock raiser their whole lives, with oyster shell in a separate contained for the laying hens. It's easiest, no food changes necessary.
Buy something that's labelled as an all-flock feed, or a chick starter, that's fresh by mill date where you shop. Nothing older than one month, and fed within another month, so all the vitamins are still good, and it's not buggy or getting rancid. :sick
If your chicks are on a chick starter including amprolium, that's fine too, and the other birds can also eat it. After the new chicks have been out on your ground for a few weeks, it should be fine to transition them to an unmedicated feed.
