I'm thinking of expanding to sell to local stores and I'm wondering if it worth it and all I have to do. Does anyone want to chat with me and let me pick their brains?

Are you talking about selling eggs to local stores?

Depending on your state this might be doable or it might be more trouble than you can possibly ever make a profit on. You'll want to speak with your local extension agent or state ag department to find out what the requirements are.

If you're willing to sell direct to the consumer (farm gate sales) it can be a lot easier, again depending on your state.

if you have a livestock auction you might try selling your eggs there. we take ours to a live stock auction that sells poultry and eggs we get between 1.00 to 2.50 a dozen. pays for feed .

I drop mine off at the feeds store and they sell them for me,pays for my feed bill with them, i also try to buy something from each store that sells my eggs.
