I need to rant about a news story i watched...

Oh. Even here in a tiny town in SC, the news is on the station's website. And the newspaper's website.
I'm curious because the OP never mentioned why the dogs were to be euthanized and it seems the assumption is rabies..

I think the assumption is someone got bit. If a dog bites a person, and they don't have current rabies vaccines (and in some areas even if they do) they will be quarenteened (sp?) to watch for symptoms before they are pts. Or if the state or whatever was putting them down and wanted tests done, and the bodies were disposed of that would also be a problem. No one can say without hearing the whys of what happened.

It was on TV. Nothing that's on our new's ever gets posted on Internet. NS is too small to do that

i think it may have been biteing, but then again this woman has 3 acres and they never stated where it happened. This woman was in her 60's i think, and i believe that the dogs were all up-to-date on there shots.

i would hate to give wrong info as it was one or two day's ago. There are a lot of issues with dogs in NS for some reason.

I was chewed thoroughly by a dog several years ago. The state health department required a 10 day quarantine, at home, because the dog was not current on shots. That was it. If these dogs were scheduled for euthanasia, I think it must have been either very serious attack or repeat offenders.

dutchhollow, I agree, but if you read my sig line it will explain why I don't make assumptions.

This made me think about another case... a dog was on a muzzle order, the dog lept out of the house with out a muzzle on attacked another dog, city sezied dog. Owner sued the the City, after 6 months, got the dog back.... It again attacked another dog the next week
