I need to re-home my chickens. Is there anyone near Athens, Ohio who can take them? They are good little laying hens with sweet, funny personalities.

I am no longer able to care for my chickens. I will be moving at some point soon and my health is not good. I keep falling all the time. I am heartbroken to have to get rid of my little girls. I am asking on BYC because I know you will love them as well. I have 9 laying hens. Two Pearl White Leghorns, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Buff Brahma and 1white Crested Black Polish. The last two REALLY need to stay together. They are very codependent and live in their own apartment together.
I would include the coop if you take them. They love their coop and should really stay together.

I will! I live in Lowell, I have 3 rooster that I don't want to part with and they need "desperately" some company!

I know!, I was shocked to see your post bc I've been outside for days trying to tame these boys bc I dont have enough girls to keep the peace so I decided to look on here after reading about some safe insecticides for inside the coops I built, and as I scrolled down there was your post! I'm so happy to take them!
That's great your taking them! I'm sure they're going to a good home!

Well, as I said in our conversation, I wanted to try to find a place locally if at all possible. God knows how much I love them. My brother told me that he will take them and I can go see them whenever I want. I actually cried all this afternoon about it. I know that sounds silly, I have had them all since they were 3 days old.
Thank you so much My Feathered Friends. I hope you find some great little hens.😊
