Im having a 3 family yard sale next weekend and having a small cook out for us right after. I want to use my charcoal grill, but Im no big grill master. Usually its just burgers and dogs. So what do you like to serve? I was thinking maybe an upgraded burger or some chicken parts, and what about a really great easy dessert. Help.

Walmart has some incredible burger available. It's in the meat section but frozen in a box. Preformed patties called angus steak burgers. you just throw them on the grill frozen they come out perfect and so gourmet - really. I am a great cook and love fancy stuff but go for simplicity and ease when I am relaxing outdoors. They have been a huge hit with my food snob friends this summer. If you get them let me know and I'll share my super easy rub.

For a side that you can do on your grill, we like to slice up potatoes and onions, mix them together with some melted butter & seasoned salt, wrap in tin foil & put them on the grill for about an hour. Goes great with any meat!

pork chops on the grill are sooooo tender.. they cook great. and for dessert how about a store bought angel food cake sliced in three layers.. top layers with instant made vanilla pudding and sliced strawberrys. frost with cool whip and garnish with strawberry slices.. keep in fridge..

that sounds good, I can get nice pork chops from my uncles pigs. I made a trifle for a friends party with the angle food cake cubed and layered with lemon pudding and blueberries. Not a big strawberry fan but you made me remember the blueberry one. HHmmmm......

Ok, I just found out that one of my friends is allergic to pork and doesnt really care for hamburgers. Any one have a good recipe for chicken breast on the grill? And grilled corn, Ive been dyeing to try it but not really sure how.

yogurt marinade is THE BEST for chicken breasts.

mix a medium container of PLAIN yogurt, juice from one lemon, and whatever spices or spice mix you like.

make 3 diagonal cuts across the top the top of the breast and put in marinade for a few hours or all night.

throw on the grill . . . makes great charcoal lines and the meat is super moist.

grilled corn gets done a lot of different ways . . . husk on, husk off, silks on , silks off, soaked in salt water, soaked in sugar water.
When I do it, I peel back the husk but don't remove. Remove as much silk as possible. pull the husk back closed and then soak in salt water in a bucket by the grill. Then we just pull it out of the bucket and put on the grill . . . It's really good, but kind of a pain.
