I need your help now!

Today before I locked my chickens up I counted them, but was missing one. I looked for an hour and couldnt find it at all. I recounted over and over but couldnt find the missing chicken. There are no sighns like losts of feathers or blood on the ground, but could it be dead? I need answers please. If it is alive, how or wear do i look and get her to come back?

Eagles will carry off a chicken hawks unless it was a big hawk and/or a small chicken they normally leave the body and pluck it eat what they want and leave the rest. A fox will snatch and run with no signs and it' happens with in seconds.

A bit more information as to where the chickens were and what they were doing when the bird went missing might help, but based on what you describe, it fits the pattern of a fox. They will often nab one bird and leave with it, only stopping a few times in the distance to quiet any struggles and to get a better grip on their victim before taking it home for the kit's dinner.

If so, it will be back. So whatever you were doing simply sets table with bird #2 for them to eat. So plan accordingly.

Well I let our chickens freerange and we do live near foxes, hawks, and bobcats, but they are usually too scared to come. I always let our chickens freerange and we havent seen any predator near our house once.

We have been freeranging them for over a year and not one has died. I think that she still could be out somewhere alive hopefully.

Maybe shes sitting on a stash of eggs somewhere?
IDK what kind of or how much area she has to roam but they can be pretty good at hiding with a nest.

Only time will tell....either she comes back, or she doesn't.

We let them freerange wherever they want. She might be sitting on a nest somewhere idk. And another chicken has not disappeared in a couple of days since ee lost one which means she probably is not dead

I hope you get her back. But with each passing day the odds increase that a predator got her, as had been suggested here by others.
