I need your help!

I want it to look pretty to keep the neighbors happy. We have butts for neighbors, so no need to fuel the fire. They used to love chickens, but once that first crow happened... wow. (They said we could get a roo not my fault they changed mind) Functional is top priority. Then looks. I am double thinking this. We rent our property... would spending this on a stationary oven be worth it? I was looking at Erin's (msbear) Nags Head and really like that. I can pull em to the feed store LOL. Any ideas on that??? LOL.

We have a metal shed, and it gets really hot inside---Suffocatingly Hot. You can always make them warmer in the winter, but unless you get some windows in there, it will overheat fast.

If you have a run, or plan to free range, (just as long as they can leave during the hottest point in the day), and figure out a way to add windows (large ones you can open), I don't see a problem.

Of course, If I had $300 to spend on a chicken coop, I'd just buy cheap lumber, and check at a scrap metal recycling place for cheap wire. You could build a decent house & run. That's if looks don't count to you. They don't to me. I go for purely FUNCTION. But, I live in the country, and no one but me can see the monstrosity that is my Chickenville.
