I actually don't know. I bought them about 2 months ago and they were already laying, but they look young, so I'm guessing under a year old. I have a white one, 2 brown ones and a silver one. The white one is full of nonsense, but the other 3 are great. Very friendly. The silver one was skittish and nervous when I bought her, but she's calmed down and warmed up to me since. I heard Leghorns are flighty, but these guys are not too bad, only the white one.

My red Stars lay everyday, and have no clue they should be slowing down since it is winter,

Yeah my sister has a pearl leghorn (white) and she is a huge brat!

She put a gash in our youngest chicken's head, and she is at the top of the pecking order.

She NEVER lays ever. I won't be getting another pearl leghorn anytime soon.

Maybe I'll try red or brown.
