I have about 10 hens. It has been two weeks and I have never seen any eggs anymore. I know that my hens have a habit of eating them. How do I fix this? It isn't their age. About 8 of them are 1 year or a little less and they lay.

Do you find egg shells in the nest boxes? Or hear the hens singing their egg song?
If you don't find broken egg shells, do you think some other critter might be getting them? Or are the chickens free ranging? If so, they could be laying somewhere else.

Good Questions^^^, that need to be answered if a solution is to be found.

We really need to know all of the above.

I think if they were eating all that they laid, there would be egg shells or yellow yolk stains in the litter. If they have all stopped laying, they might be molting, have a diet deficiency, be in shock from something....weather related maybe? If it turned really hot suddenly, that could possibly make them stop, too. Do they look healthy? Feather loss? Combs pale and dry?

It may remain a mystery, but if it were me, I would make sure they are getting plenty of protein, have some shade if it is hot, watch out for snakes or rats in the enclosure, check for mites or some other physical issue, and spoil them a little. They could be on strike for watermelon or mealworms. We all know what Divas the girls can be. Good luck on this, and let us know what you find out.
