Ok first off I cannot take much more this week. seriously I have a bantam hen. Came from a wonderful byc member in Tn. No issues before. A week ago it was stumbling around, could not stand at all, falling over. I brought it inside. I found a mite on it so I went ahead and gave it a bath, treated it for mites just in case( I only saw the one), gave it extra food, water, and a warm bed inside the house. The next day its walking around and standing. BUT it was dragging its leg on one side. By night time it was walking fine again and the problem disappeared. Today I go out and its on its back, feet straight up in the air, and its entire body shaking. I'm not even sure what to do at this point. It could have been on its back for at least a couple hours. It had pooped on itself. It still cannot stand. Its in a separate cage. Back on special treatment. Extra everything really. Any clue what I am dealing with?
Bantam Duccle. Roughly a year old. I have checked the crop and felt around for internal egg. No mites this time but went ahead and treated just as a follow up. Fresh water. No bad feed. No one else having issues. I am lost and frustrated.
Al this while dealing with a horrible hatch of goslings. 1 dead, 1 survived despite everything, and another still fighting. I go outside to relax and there is a bantam on its back.
