hi.... i had 7 chicks hatch in the incubator and they couldn't let me sleep... they were rolling and pecking the eggs and it just made me so uncomfortable.. so i had to open the incubator and put them in the brooder... at that point they stopped peeping..... after 4 hours 3 quails hatched and they seem to have a problem with their toes... its kinda wrinkled... but nonetheless they were perfectly healthy and fine... but the same problem was happening they were messing everything up in the incubator and piping the eggs and peeping like heck! so i opened the incubator and put them in the brooder.... and i noticed that one of the eggs was half way zipped... 2 hours later and the chick hasn't completed zipping and theres another egg that had a broken shell but the membrane was still intact.... im afraid i might had messed with them and shrink wrapped em.... should i help??? and how could i prevent this mess in the future?

For how long did you open the incubator?
It should be fine as long as you did not leave it open for a long time. Just make sure the humidity is right, and do it quick. Also...it does take a few hours for a chick to peep. I had one that peeped for 9+ hours. But it made it.

pictures of chicks? I also hatched a few quail 3-4 days ago

Also, with my quail. I saw a few with curled toes. I thought it was some leg issue, becuase they still had it 2 hours after hatching. But when they dried it was fine.
