Have you thought about checking with a Canadian dealer if they don't have a distributor in Alaska? I looked and they've got dealers in Canada.....maybe that would be cheaper.

I would definitely have challenged them on that. If you were quoted a price, ordered at that price, paid at that price, it is up to them to honor it and then make their changes with the next person, not you. I've been through that before and usually if you stand your ground they will agree because it's not worth the bad publicity and time and trouble to them.

try Berry Hill Limited in Ontario, they have a website and their cross country in Canada shipping, I'm told is VERY reasonable...I'm certain you could get it shipped to Alaska.
