Wow! That's so much better cost than the organic feed I've been using. It's McGeary's Organics of Lancaster, PA It has soy & corn in it & it's $46 a bag pluas $12.95 shipping (My Pet Chicken) It's good stuff, but I can't afford it. This looks better. I think I'm switching, thanks!

Btw, "choline" is choline chloride, found in high concentrations in eggs, some legumes, some grains. It's a natural substance that helps maintain a healthy nervous system, hormone levels, neurotransmitter levels, & skin, nails, bone, beak & connective tissues.
It's good to have added choline for chicks, or in feed that's the bulk of a diet for birds who don't free range too much. This feed has a lot of added vitamins, I assume all from natural sources, which will make it a complete feed if you don't free range the chickens.

I give my information only from history as a clinical nutritionist --for humans. I'm not a bird nutrition expert. Just giving my opinion.

For the Mainers, Nezinscott Farms in Turner Maine is making their own organic feed. If you email them, they'll put you on their list for when its ready.
