6 day old GCM has had pasty butt for a few days and I accidentally pulled some feathers out when cleaning today..
Will it be ok? Is there anything else I should do for the poor baby?
So far I've added ACV to water to help with pasty butt
Much thanks chickadees

It should be fine, it's just a bit of fluff.

I find heat to be a contributing factor to pasty butt so depending on what you're using for heat (i.e. heat lamp) you might want to drop it a few degrees, or check that you have an adequate amount of cooler space for the babies to use.

Thank you!!
The heat lamp is around 90s and shade is around 80s. I could move it around where there's more shade than lamp.
I just picked up some plain Greek yogurt I've seen recommended as well as about to hard boil eggs from my daddy's flock.

Ok, not too bad for the age of the chick. If possible I'd drop the cooler side down further (like another 5-10F) but that might not be feasible so don't sweat it if you can't.

I really don't do anything special for pasty butt other than keep checking and keep clearing. My chicks just get chick feed and (for the first few days) water with electrolytes or Nutri-Drench, and after that just plain water.
