I made a post about our 1 1/2 year old roo with red flesh on his legs and splintered beak. No one can see it I guess. I attached 3 small pictures and links to videos on Youtube. Is there a delay for posts that contain videos?

Hi! sorry about your rooster. :hugs
just to make sure, your clicking the little image icon in the top, right? Then hitting drop image, and photo library if you already took the photo.

make sure you wait til they finish publishing to your thread before you upload it!

could you describe whats happening a bit more in some more detail?

Here it is:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...oster-with-red-skin-splintering-beak.1520504/

I can search for threads by author (my user name, your user name, etc.)
I can hover my mouse over your username, and get an option to "find all threads."
I can click on your username to get to your profile, and there is a button that says "find" so I can find all the threads you have started or all the content you have created.

(I'm on a desktop computer. I don't know if these parts of the site behave differently on different devices.)

All of these can be useful ways to find a thread, either your own or someone else's :)

Ok, I found it. It says 25 people have looked at it. Are you able to see it now?
I know that just because you read a thread, that doesn't mean you can comment on it, but I wasn't seeing it in the forum lineup.

I found an article concerning the beak so I guess that isn't related to the red skin on his legs. I'm going to assume his splintered beak is from fighting through the fence.

I'm just wondering about the red skin. It just seems to be very painful. I don't know if this is from scale mites or what. I thought the scales on the legs curled up with that.

I saw the thread, complete with videos. It looks like it posted properly.

When I look at the list of threads in that forum, I see the thread listed there too.

Your thread was about halfway down the page when I looked, but it will move down as people post in other threads, and up when someone posts in it.

I did not comment on that thread because I do not have anything useful to say about your rooster's condition-- I don't know what caused it, what it's called, or how to treat it.

But I do think the thread itself is fine.

Thanks for the reassurance. :)
I don't post on these threads often, but I do know there is a good time to do so. I think I missed my window to get help tomorrow. Perhaps I can revive the thread tomorrow. Thanks for the reply NatJ
